We are very happy to announce that for the first time SCM Network organized together with SAP an event on October 25th. SAP hosted 16 members of SCM Network at their headquarters in Vienna. SAP stands for Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing and is the market leader in end-to-end enterprise application software with more than 200 million users worldwide.
The students were welcomed by a network member and a working student at SAP- Gabor Kali who briefly introduced SAP’s product portfolio and its implementation in SCM. He shared his experience of the working environment at SAP and guided the members through an office tour. This was followed by a presentation of Stefan Gluck who gave technical insights into SCM with SAP. He showed in real time how SAP’s services can improve and optimize business process of a supplier in automotive industry and discussed how predictive analytics and machine learning can help balance demand and supply. Moreover, the students had the chance to ask more questions about the challenges and what are the advantages of SAP solutions integration in a business. The event followed by an interactive workshop about the skills needed to stay competitive in a digital future organized by Diedo Ladstatter who works for SAP Next-Gen. This is an innovation university that builds digital skills and connects people and companies around the world. Thus, Diedo invited SCM Network to participate in their boot camps, innovation tours, and events.
The SCM Network would like to thank SAP for the interesting and interactive event.
