#SCMGoes Miebach Consulting 2022

On November 25th 2022, the SCM-Network welcomed three guests from Germany based international consultancy firm Miebach to the beautiful, sunny WU campus for a joint case study event. Miebach Consulting Group is a logistics engineering and supply chain consulting firm with over 400 employees in 26 offices and 22 countries globally.

The event started with a company presentation as well as a quick presentation of the interesting career paths of the three consultants at Miebach. We were joined by Barbara Galle (Principal and SCM Master Alumni), Alexander Schachowzew (Senior Consultant and SCM Master Alumni) and Jeanine Prang (Analyst) who showed us their individual journeys of becoming part of Miebach as well as their past projects and experiences within the firm. The students were further given a deep dive into two recent projects conducted by the firm and lastly also learned about the typical career journey and application process offered at Miebach.

After a short break with some snacks and drinks a case study from the retail and fashion business-unit of Miebach was presented. The students worked on the case in groups and later presented their ideas in the plenum. The answers and “real” solutions were discussed afterwards which concluded the formal part of the event. 

Afterwards, the participating SCM-Network members were invited by Miebach for some drinks and pizza and had the opportunity for a more informal networking and chatting session with the company representatives.
