On December 1st, 13 SCM Network members were invited to visit the warehouse of Hilti Austria in Leopoldsdorf.
Hilti Corporation is a Liechtenstein-based multinational company that develops, manufactures, and markets products for the construction, building maintenance, and mining industries, mainly to professional end-users.
Richard Wagner, Head Logistics Europe Central East at Hilti, first gave us a general introduction of the company Hilti and their global logistics strategy, before personally taking us on a tour around their new warehouse in Leopoldsdorf including the Tools Service area, explaining processes and challenges. In the end, insights about Hilti’s award-winning team management practices were shared, including some personal advice about career paths and opportunities in the company.
